Last week was incredibly hard, and come the weekend (it was Canadian Thanksgiving), I just wanted to hide away from the world, and my thoughts, and my emotions.

But instead, I made plans with a friend who wanted to model for me and we went on a driving adventure with the sole purpose of creating something.

We ended up finding this abandoned house right near a covered bridge that we started at…so obviously we went inside. When I edited the first photo I nearly cried because it was such a visceral representation of what I had been feeling all week. The second photo was the more creative outcome of entering the decrepit house.

It was a perfect afternoon, and I’m so glad that I took the opportunity to use my camera as the outlet that it is for me.
