The wishing tree

My dear friend Cj in “the wishing tree”, a very special place for her. Every year at the Vancouver folk festival from its branches she hangs decorations and cards on which people can write their wishes and dreams. The tree itself is hiding out of the way beside a pond and is also home to my friends father’s ashes. I love looking at this photo, its a very intimate portrait of a girl in her happiest place
