I hate the end of the day. The witching hour hits and my kid goes crazy, pushing every one of my buttons. I didn’t handle it well today, like most days. I totally lost it. But then I went away for a few minutes, allowed myself to cry out of frustration and disappointment, then apologized to my son and we had a do-over. The second try at bedtime went much better! I’m currently reading some books about how to handle my emotions better so that I can help my son to handle his better.
