Why We Exist

We are a mighty team with big hearts working to spread love, light, along with deeper connection and insight around mental health through our community and larger initiatives of The One Project. Learn more about our mission, values and team below.

We bring together people navigating their mental health and spiritual self who are ready to invest in themselves and support others in a big way by learning and using photography as a tool for creative expression and introspection to find and develop a solid foundation of healthy habits and tools, release attachment to negative narratives by reconnecting with our intuition and building a better picture and understanding of mental health for all free of stigma, judgement and fear.

“I hope you rediscover your true value through brave acts of creativity, reclaim authorship of your story, and reconnect with your authentic self.”

Free Your Mind, Through Creative Expression

The core of our mission and what we teach is instilled right into both versions of our logo with an ensō. Through working with your photos and our Therapeutic Photography techniques, you’ll work to gradually become uninhibited by any shame, anxiety, or fear and hesitations around discussing mental health, so you are free to create and just be — your true, authentic self.

“In Zen, ensō (円相, , “circle”) is a circle that is hand-drawn in one or two uninhibited brushstrokes to express a moment when the mind is free to let the body create.” (Wikipedia).

Our Company Values

Holistic Health & Authentic Self

We believe in proactive, natural methods of achieving personal wellness. Health is holistic — the body, mind and spirit are connected and systems of tools are needed to maintain proper health along with living in alignment with your true, authentic self.

Purpose Over Profit

We believe in listening to the ‘inner voice’ — finding meaning in the work you do — and putting purpose first. The One Project has been carefully crafted as a social enterprise over the last decade to allow us to maximize our impact, while also allowing no barriers to access. We will utilize our growth as a way to give back further to communities in need.

Free, Creative Expression

We believe in open creative expression as a means of communication and connection without any barriers around skill or equipment — and the importance of having a safe space free from judgment to express your thoughts, feelings and stories.

Be Open To Yourself & Others

We believe in finding answers within, through introspection, and the power of sharing insights with others openly, honestly and with the intention of helping. Through sharing our vulnerable, genuine humanity we are inviting and allowing others to do the same — becoming our authentic selves. We strive to maintain an open conversation with our members by being transparent about our intentions, activities, and direction.

Meet Our Team

Bryce Evans

Founder

The One Project started as one photo, then a series around the depression and anxiety I struggled with in my youth, which evolved into a community and set of therapeutic photography techniques. Over the last ten years, I've been teaching, writing and speaking around the world about the healing power of photos for your mental health. I'm also an award-winning photographer, artist and marketing consultant focused on the art of catharsis. I'm a community builder that's worked with top international brands who want to make a positive impact in the world and I've been blessed to exhibit my artwork internationally, all to help inspire and share valuable insights.

Kaye Lee

Community Manager

I’ve started using photography four years ago as a form of creative expression, but what I didn’t realize was that it was also a healing tool for me. It was a way for me to express myself when I couldn’t find the words or when I felt like I couldn’t share with anyone openly. When I discovered The One Project, it was an instant connection. I love the combination of the three things I’m passionate about – photography, mental health and community. I believe in the healing power of human connection and through The One Project, I hope to spread love and uplift one another because we all need it.
